About the event

On Sunday, August 31, communities around the world will gather to honor Overdose Awareness Day - a day of remembrance for lives lost, support for those impacted, and hope for a future free from stigma.

Hosted by The Collective Om, Light Beyond the Tide will take place at the Jacksonville Beach Pier from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. This donation-based, all-are-welcome gathering will weave together art, education, and healing practices in a peaceful oceanside setting.

The evening will include:

  • Artistic Expression - seashell painting to honor loved ones and share memories

  • Educational Conversation - local PhDs and changemakers sharing personal stories, mental health resources, and community connection

  • Narcan Training and Distribution - learn how to administer this life-saving medication and take home free kits
