About the event

On Saturday, August 31, communities around the world will gather to honor International Overdose Awareness Day - a day of remembrance for lives lost, support for those impacted, and hope for a future free from stigma.


Hosted by The Collective Om, Light Beyond the Tide will take place on Jacksonville Beach from 7:00–8:30 PM. This donation-based, all-are-welcome gathering will bring together art, sound, and conversation in a peaceful oceanside setting.


The evening will include:

  • Artistic Expression - creative activities to honor loved ones and share memories

  • Educational Conversation - local PhDs and changemakers sharing on healing, resilience, and community connection

  • Sound Healing - a gentle sound bath to encourage reflection, release, and peace
